Can Food Drive

We're taking a break from Summer Missions fundraising and we're dedicating the month of November to a different kind of missions. We will be collecting canned goods all over campus! Our goal is to widely promote this food drive all over campus, get other organizations involved, and collect as many cans as possible! We'll be giving the cans collected to Second Harvest food drive. We hope to be able to collect enough cans to stock... their pantry before AND after Thanksgiving! Help us and be a part of this awesome opportunity to be active and show love to others who really need it! One of the number one ways that you can help is to INVITE YOUR FRIENDS! Just send them this facebook event! If no one knows, no one will bring in canned food. So spread the word! So far, Wesley Fellowship is partnering with us, but hopefully more groups will get on board! More information will be coming! We'll let you know about the drop off sites as soon as we can! EXTREME MAKEOVER: BCM EDITION!

That's right! Winners give the losers an epic makeover on stage! Losers will have to wear the makeover for the rest of the day! Girls representatives are Melanie, Caralea, Abby, Kaylie, Kathy! Boys representatives are Julian, John, Frank, Jeremy, and Joey! Who would you rather see get made over?! All the proceeds go to summer missions! It's an awesome, fun way to get involved, so BRING IN YOUR CHANGE. Competition ends November 2nd after lunch, so bring in yo' money ASAP! Silver coins = positive points, Pennies, dollar bills, checks = negative points. Get involved now and help send out summer missionaries! God loves a cheerful giver :)

In Full Swing!

Hey everybody!

Well we're what, four weeks in now? I hope you all aren't too overloaded or behind in your classes yet! I don't know about you guys but I am so ready for NEXT FRIDAY! Do you know what happens then? CONFLUENCE! Oh yeah, it is so much fun! It is such a great time for us to bond as a BCM and really hear from God. Basically, you kinda get charged back up after these first few weeks. If you haven't signed up yet, don't worry! You can still sign up at the BCM. We will also be greeters this year which is such an awesome opportunity. I hope you all can come! Also, don't forget that lunch will be on campus in the International Garden on Wednesday. Spread the word!

Small Groups

Small Groups start on MONDAY!! (YIPEE!) The time are posted under the "Small Groups" tab. Find one for you and check it out! We had a great time on campus today at the SGA Block Party! I hope those of you we met found your way to our page. We hope to see you all soon at Wednesday Lunch and Small Groups.

Happy New School Year!

I am so excited about everyone being back! Our Open House was a HUGE success. Thanks so much for everyone who came out. I hope that you found a way to get connected in a ministry. If not, there is still time! Don't forget, this Friday we have Small Group Training for leaders. I will be updating the events soon... I am already behind and it is only half way through the first week!! I hope classes are going well for everyone so far and most importantly that you feel like you can belong at the BCM. I just know God has some amazing things in store for this year, it is like you can feel it in the air!! Let us know if you need any help finding a place to serve and check back soon for more updates! :)

Movie Night

Don't forget! Movie night is this Thursday at 8p.m. "Tangled" will be the movie we are showing and there will be plenty of snacks to enjoy! We also have officially exceeded our summer missions goal!! Thanks for you're help! There are still a lot of little projects we need to do to continue sprucing up around the building. If you are interested in helping just post on our Facebook page and we'll give you a job. Also remember to pray for our student missionaries around the world this summer! The group leaves for Haiti in 3 days, so lift them up too! Also check the "Summer Activities" tab for more upcoming events. It seems really odd not seeing you guys every week! Hope all is well and try to beat the heat! (Happy first day of Summer!)

Summer Update

Hey all!
 I hope you are staying cool this summer! Our friend Melanie is up in Alaska serving as a summer missionary, and there is snow in her pictures! (Isn't that crazy?!) Speaking of which, our BCM Summer Missionaries are spread out all over the country and world. Hopefully you can read some of their stories here, if time permits them to send us updates. Keep praying for them and for all of those going to Haiti soon, and those working at summer camps. There are BCMers doing all sorts of ministries this summer! If you are left at home this summer, we have some events going on, so make sure you check those out. They can be found right here on the blog, up at the top under "Summer Activities!". The times have now been finalized and updated. Hope to see you at an event or two!

Wall Painting

How's your summer going so far? Are you bored yet? Or maybe you are really feeling the heat from a fast paced summer course. Well, how about you let off some steam, or get off the couch, and come out to help us give our BCM some TLC? We will be painting the wall facing the Armstrong Center beginning this Monday, June 6, at 4:30p.m. First, we will be giving the wall a basic coat and later in the week we will be painting our new logo on top! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope to see you there!
